Tailored Charging for Gel Batteries
The IQ-GEL features an extended BULK mode with a slightly lower voltage—a perfect combination for gel lead-acid batteries.
After a period of seven days, the IQ-GEL initiates the standard Maintenance cycle to ensure the battery remains fully-charged.
CHARGING PROFILE
The IQ-GEL takes the following steps to charge your battery:
ABSORPTION (EXTENDED)
In the controlled Absorption state, the charger delivers a constant charge for a set period of time to ensure that the battery is fully charged.
FLOAT
Once the battery has been fully charged, the battery maintains a full charge in Float mode. This reduces the risk of "gassing."
MAINTENANCE
If the battery has been in Float mode for 7 days, the IQ will automatically reinitiate a bulk charge to ensure the battery remains completely charged.
